CHAMPIONSHIP FOOTBALL COMES TO THE AK VALLEY
The Pittsburgh Pride Minor League Football Team to
Play 2010 Season at Valley High School.
New Kensington, PA -- The Pittsburgh Pride Minor League Football Team
will play it's home games at Valley High School for the 2010 Spring
Football Season beginning June 5th, 2010.
The Pittsburgh Pride is a member of the United States Football Alliance
and is a full contact adult football team comprised of local talent
from the greater Pittsburgh area and the AK Valley. The team is in its'
5th year of existence and has recently inked a deal with the NKASD which
allows the newly remodeled Valley High School Stadium to become “The
Lions Den” for 5 Home games during the 2010 season.
The Pride is the reigning back to back champion of the USFA's Eastern
Football Conference and is lead by Veteran Head Coach Rich Sterling
and an all star cast of local coaches from the metro Pittsburgh area.
The staff includes legendary Pittsburgh Youth Football Coach Dorian
“DOC” Russell and Multi-High School State Champion Coach
Derrick Lane of Pittsburgh Central Catholic.
“I am extremely excited about playing at Valley this Year. If
you are from Pittsburgh or the surrounding area, it is no secret that
the AK Valley loves football and breeds some of the best talent that
Western PA has to offer. It's an honor for us to be able to call Valley
our home!” said Sterling.
